My running routine

Lately, I have been stressed out by quite a few things. You know when issues happen, they all come at one go!

Have been enduring through my exercise workouts. Looking at my running log, I managed to run at least 2 to 3 times a week last week. Each time was around 5-6KM on paved surfaces at the ECP.

It gets quite difficult to start though; the thoughts of "I should be at home, the sky looks like its going to rain, I am too tired/hungry..." When I finally got changed into my running gear and put the initial steps in motion, I get leg muscles/knee joints that are stiff (ok I don't do any warmups and just a couple of quick stretches) and my lungs' capability to suppply oxygen is still somewhat slow.

After 3+ KM, I usually can try to increase the pace a little more. At 4KM, I am quite warmed up and perspiring freely. At this stage, I could try to push myself even more by increasing the pace; or I could maintain a decent slow pace and continue up to 10KM. But reality speaks to me. I should not over exert myself in case it affects my sleep later. So most of the time, I would allow up to 1 hour of running before going off and get dinner for both of us.

I think I really cannot do without these regular running. It helps me mentally and physically tremendously! The feeling of a relaxed state and composed mood along with a good perspiration is what I seek.

I think the only exercise I get this days is exercising the brain thinking about exercise. SIGH!
