Walking through the garden of time

A sunny run

Sunshine on the water edge!

I look forward to physical activities every day. In fact I just can't wait to get out of the office as early as can be to either do some running or hit the gym. Seems like I am addicted to some effects of exercise and I will experience some withdrawal symptoms if I don't have my regular/daily fix.

Last weekend, I woke up at 7 on saturday and after a light breakfast, headed off to ECP for my weekend run. Didn't have time to arrange to meet up with Willie so had to do it alone. Drove to carpark C4 and started eastwards towards the National Sailing Centre for a 10KM route. Did a slow pace of 6.00 and enjoyed the glorious morning sunshine even though the humidity was present and there was hardly any breeze.

Along the route, there were spots where it was exposed and I slowed down and enjoyed the sunshine on my body. It felt good; a slight warmth on the skin. I relaxed my body further and my mind was playing up good feelings. I had not been doing activities exposed to the sun for quite sometime since my deepsea fishing days some years back. My skin has gone back to the original fairness. Yet with the sunlight now on my exposed limbs, the thought of getting a shade of tan did float my mind.

Don't I sound like a plant needing sunlight to do photosynthesis? It would be nice to run bare-bodied to have a better absorption of nature's life giving energy.

Sunshine on the stone benches

I returned to carpark C4 in 61 minutes and felt relaxed and good after absorbing much light energy. Any longer than this and the sun would have heated up my body so much that it becomes energy sapping instead to continue any more aerobic type of exercise.
